A Great Trip !
I hiked the entire C&O Canal this year. 180-190 some miles in 8 1/2 days. From the Watergate Hotel in downtown Washington DC to downtown Cumberland MD. A really great experience.
 Kept my starting pack weight @ about 26 lbs and rocked steady ! Did one 26.5 mile day and one 30 mile day.  Did about 15 on the rest of em.  I am always up for mid-week treks, anybody know of some good 3-4 day trips around? Anybody else free to backpack during the week?

Wish I was free during the week for a few trips... Gotta be the weekend for me. Anywhere in Talledega is a good trip and the sipsey wilderness area in Bankhead is really nice as well. Been wanting to get up to Dugger mountain for awhile now...
